- In a saucepan add a little oil and fry off onion, carrot and garlic until softened. add salt, pepper, mixed herbs and flour stir well and cook for 1 minute. Add mince,marmite and gravy, stir well bring to the boil and then reduce to simmer for 20 minutes..
- Meanwhile mash the potatoes with a little milk and butter, season well. In a suitable dish layer the mince mixture then top with the mashed potatoes. Flatten out to create a smooth surface. Then score with a fork to make a pattern, sprinkle with grated cheese and bake at 190c for 45 minutes until golden brown..
